7th International Practical Course in Systems Biology
For the seventh time the Lundberg Laboratory at the University of Gothenburg in Sweden will host the Practical Course in Systems Biology. A total of 24 interested PhD students and post-doctoral scientists with an experimental and/or theoretical background are invited to participate in this unique training experience.
Well-known teachers will provide intensive hands-on training on integrating experimentation and mathematical modeling. For theoreticians, the course will start with an introduction to the principles of experimental systems biology, whereas experimentalists will be introduced to the principles of mathematical modeling. Subsequently, the students will work in interdisciplinary teams on real scientific challenges and conduct a complete systems biology cycle – from data collection and model construction to simulation/prediction and experimental verification. At the end of the course all students will present and discuss their project.
In addition to the hands-on training, scientific presentations from lecturers and invited speakers will be integrated into the program. Furthermore, a social event will offer plenty of opportunity for networking between the course leaders and participants alike.
The deadline for registration is March 15, 2015. For more information and registration please click here.
This training event is sponsored by ERASysAPP and FEBS.
